Playing solo with his acoustic guitar, Ray Calabro combines key elements of jazz, blues, folk, and country.
Ray's percussive approach on the guitar is distinctive and sure to inspire foot tapping, playing a selection of popular cover songs reaching back into the 1920’s up through to today. His original songs are well crafted and range from funny to serious.
Ray has been sharing his music in public performances since the late 80's, and you’re sure to enjoy Ray’s soulful presentation on our patio (weather permitting, of course).
And on Thursdays, when you purchase a bottle of wine, dessert is on us!
On Mondays, we say thanks to our industry friends ... with late night snacks, DJ Nate with old school music and a whopping 50% off all checks, 6pm-close, exclusively for our industry friends.
Bring a pay stub or business card if we don't know you and come get your weekend on!
According to Conde Nast Traveler, "For almost a century, the Negroni remained a quiet classic, readily offered in Italian restaurants or bars and beloved by cocktail completists.
In the last decade, though, the Negroni has morphed into a mainstay of any self-respecting cocktail menu. This ubiquity is due, in large part, to sheer coincidence. The aughts saw a resurgence in two cocktail staples: gin (its cachet renewed via passionate small-batch producers) and bitters (which were pushed beyond Angostura by adventurous barkeeps; This pair of revivals—two out of three of the Negroni's ingredients—prepped drinkers’ taste buds perfectly."
June 5-11 marks Negroni Week, and we're celebrating with three cocktail inventions. In addition to our classic New Vingroni, come try the Negroni Slushy or Dolce Far Niente with fresh, Campari-infused strawberries!
A love of classic French wines and food drove Peter Spann to California during the wine renaissance of the late 1970s to meet the new small, artisan producers, and later to Glen Ellen where Spann Vineyards was born.
Today, the Spanns take the best ideas and techniques they've learned from European and California winemakers to create food-friendly, unique wines that are memorable, yet blend seamlessly into the occasion.
Peter will be showing four of his wines from 5pm-6:30pm:
- 2015 Betsy's Blond bottle (Semillon/Chardonnay blend)
- 2014 Yin-Yang (Chardonnay/Viognier blend)
- NV Betsy's Backacher red blend
- 2013 Spann Mo Zin (Zinfandel)
Special thanks to Mike Farrell of Easterly Wine for co-hosting this special event!
